MIXER/RIBBON CUTTING AT BO-TIKI, THURSDAY JUNE 19.
RIBBON CUTTING 5:15, MIXER 5:30

Everybody should join us at Bo-Toki for Maddy’s ribbon cutting celebrating Bo-Tiki’s joining The Beaches Chamber of Commerce at 5:15 on Thursday the 19th.  We welcome The Beaches Chamber and look forward to working with them in helping to further the growth of Bo-Tiki here and in the beach communities they represent.  At 5:30, we’ll be holding our Mixer at Bo-Tiki where we will network not only with our Members, but with a whole new group of businesses from the beaches.  This is an opportunity not to be missed to work with our neighboring Chamber. Hopefully this will be the first of other opportunities to expand our horizons in the future.

We expect a party atmosphere and the making of new friends and everybody knows, Maddy really knows how to throw a party.
Remember its 5:15 for the ribbon cutting and 5:30 for our expanded Mixer.

AQUAMANIA ALL SET TO GO ON SATURDAY, JUNE 7—BE THERE! HAVE FUN!

The continuously running fun events actually start at 10 AM and go, non-stop until 5:30 PM, but you might want to come down to the Gulfport Beach a little early to order a terrific breakfast in one of our now famous breakfast spots.  Chances are you might get your face on ABC Action News who will be roaming our downtown and beach area from 7 AM to 10 AM.  They may think we Gulfporters are quirky, so lets show them what quirky is all about.

Our goofy, 18 hole golf tournament starts at 10 AM and runs until 3 PM.  Don’t miss it. There are prizes at every hole and big ones at the end,  but the major reward is the fun you’ll have on the “course.”  There  will be beach themed vendors, water slides and crafts for the kids, DJ music in the AM and the DoubleMBand all afternoon.  Our ever popular dunk tank will be dunking VIPs all day.  In the afternoon there will also be a unique rubber duck race, stand up  paddle board and kayak races.  The finale at 5:00 PM will be the hotly contested and hilarious Recycle Regatta where groups have built their own boats out of re-cycled materials.  Of course great food and drink will be available all day and well into the evening.

SWOOP SWOOPS INTO GULFPORT ON AUGUST 1

With the support of  the Gulfport Merchant’s Association, Town Shores Master Association and Boca Ciega Yacht Club, SWOOP the Miami based  Low Speed Vehicle transportation system will begin service to residents and businesses of Gulfport.  Alexander Smith, Founder and Daniel Maura, CFO have spent several weeks in town refining their system plan and lining up advertisers so they can hit the ground running on opening day, (on or about Aug. 1).  Most importantly the have met with the City Manager and the Directors of all the other City Departments to go over the ground rules and to make sure they are in compliance with all regulations.

According to Alex and David, the meetings couldn’t have gone better and the City could not have been more welcoming.  There is a rumor that one of the SWOOP vehicles might show up at Aquamania, this weekend.
